Because we care about your financial well-being, we want to bring some growing threats associated with the COVID-19 pandemic to your attention. As is always the case, bad people will take advantage of opportunities at times of trouble. The COVID-19 pandemic is no different. Nationwide, we have seen a significant increase in phishing emails preying on peoples’ curiosities and needs around the pandemic. These emails are being targeted both at consumers and business. To date, the emails entice people to receive more information regarding the pandemic or posing as a corporate executive requesting sensitive information related to the company’s pandemic response.
We expect to see an immediate rise in emails asking you to click on a link to get your COVID-19 relief money or to get hard to find items such as masks and other personal protective equipment. These are an attempt to get you to provide sensitive information including addresses, phone numbers, bank accounts and other information that will be used for later crime.
As a reminder, be aware of any email or text message you receive from an unfamiliar source. Do not click on links or attachments if you are not expecting to receive them. Scammers may attempt to mislead you into giving up personal information. Never share your online or banking password with anyone, including employees of American State Bank & Trust. 3.18.2020 - As the situation with the Coronavirus changes quickly, we will begin serving our customers through our drive-thru only starting Thursday, March 19. Please click here to see our drive-thru hours in each location.
Rest assured that your money and accounts are completely safe and we are open for business. We are simply limiting personal contact so that we can do our part to keep everyone safe and healthy.
Our drive-thrus are prepared to manage most bank transactions. Safe Deposit customers can contact their individual branch to schedule a convenient appointment. 3/12/2020 - As we continue to learn more about the spread of the Coronavirus in our nation, we want to reach out to you to talk about what we are doing as a company to protect our customers and our employees.
First, if you visit one of our 16 branches around Kansas, please know that we are doing what we can to keep our facilities clean. We are increasing the frequency of cleaning and we are disinfecting surfaces regularly throughout the day.
Please remember that many of the services you receive in our branches can also be done by phone, online or mobile. Telephone banking is a great way to monitor your account activity with real-time updates including recent transactions and balance inquiries. You can access telephone banking 24 hours a day at 1.844.776.2831. In addition, most branches have drive-thru lanes and all have night drop boxes for deposits.
With American State Bank online banking, you can access your account through our website. You can pay bills, transfer money, and check balances. If you have not already enrolled in online banking, you can do so by clicking here.
Our highly-rated mobile app is another great way you can bank wherever and whenever you want. You can download the app to your mobile device easily from the App Store or Google Play Store on your phone. With the mobile app, you can check balances, transfer funds, and even deposit checks with our Snap Deposit feature.
